I love this beautiful, happy gallery. The art pieces are bright and friendly and evoke a feeling of vibrancy to any space they’re placed in. I really enjoy coming into this gallery and the legacy Mike has created for Christi. I love picking up art pieces as gifts here, as I will for many loved ones and special occasions to come. Check it out, you’ll be sure to find something very special here.

Christi's is a delightful, unique art gallery. The canvas paintings pop with color and grab your imagination. In addition to the art, we found beautiful Christmas decor items as well as lovely gifts.

Tucked into the breathtaking, natural beauty of the Hill Country of Texas, the village of Wimberley has long been a favorite destination for travelers and artisans near and far. Local folks tend to have a penchant for all things cultural, and their many and varied talents are shared in the famous shopping district. Since opening recently, Christi’s art gallery has further burnished the Wimberley reputation as an art gallery mecca.

Walking into Christi’s, clients enter an exhilarating world of color, imagination, and joy – just as the artist had intended. Located above Annie James clothing boutique at the Old Lumber Yard, Christi’s features the unique post-French impressionistic oil paintings on canvas of the celebrated artist Christi Klema. The truly curious are taken on a journey that exposes symbolism through art – creatures and faces and distorted forms that suddenly appear, surprising and delighting.

The unmistakable style of Christi’s bright and colorful canvases is a step beyond impressionism. Created using a now-obsolete oil paint, the canvases resemble stained glass when lighted from the back.

Born in Hawaii and raised in the unique world of Hollywood film sets, Christian Kealoha Klema grew up surrounded by color, beauty, and imagination. Christi was a renowned and beloved artist in the Dallas area before moving to Florida.

Christi’s fame blossomed in Dallas. As her reputation grew, and she was featured by Texas Reporter and applauded by the Dallas Morning News. Her artworks flourished from Deep Ellum to the Dallas Arts District and the Cottonwood Festival.

Appreciating the unspoken comradery of fellow artists, Christi’s fervent wish was to share her gallery with other artists. Her long-time ambition was to move back Texas, and she had her sights set on Wimberley. After her passing during the pandemic, Mike Klema fulfilled his wife’s dream and opened Christi’s. Along with Christi’s vivid art, the gallery currently offers ceramics and other gifts. This spring, Christi’s will offer Saturday programs available to other artists’ displays and demonstrations in the gallery and the courtyard below.
